It all started when…
This concept of Style books was created by noted automotive historian, editor and photographer Richard Lentinello, who has long dreamt of creating a special series of collector-car books for enthusiasts to enjoy and treasure.
Since 1987, when Richard started publishing Carrozzeria magazine, he has become an integral part of the collector-car hobby. Richard has been the editor-in-chief of nine car magazines, including Hemmings Motor News and Hemmings Classic Car, Special Interest Autos, Hemmings Muscle Machines and Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car. Prior to his 20-year career at Hemmings, Richard edited High-Performance Pontiac, Muscle Cars, Vette, and High-Tech Performance. He also authored the highly-collectible book, It's Only Original Once, which is no longer in print.
When not writing about cars or photographing them, Richard restores them. To date, he has completed several body-off restorations and show-quality paintwork, along with many other aspects of classic car restoration. He has judged at many top concours, including Amelia Island, The Elegance at Hershey, The Greenbrier, Hilton Head, Greenwich, Bloomington Gold Survivor, Virginia Motoring Festival and, of course, the Hemmings Concours.
In August 2020, Richard launched his own collector-car publication called Crankshaft, a high-quality, 144-page journal of American and Foreign automobiles, prewar and postwar. And in February 2023, Richard was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
